Born & raised in Slidell. Rachel grew up in the heart of Olde Towne with several family members both living and working, here.
"Our typical Sunday was spent walking down to Dunaway's Grocery and then onto the Soda Shop, where we'd watch Frank churn his ice cream."
In 2012 Rachel became one of the selected artists to participate in the Pelicans on Parade fundraiser. It was then that she reignited her passion and joy for art. Although Rachel had a degree in Social Work, she left that behind and followed her heart. In 2014, Rachel launched her business - Damsel n Distress, creating and selling local inspired art and gifts. Over the last 8 years Rachel has become heavily involved in everythingeverything Olde Towne, which has helped her business to grow into what it is today.
"I look forward to being a driving force for the betterment and revitalization of this community."
