My name is Mia Owen, I would say I identify as a christian molecule mom. I have a background in finance w a BS in Finance from UNO. From there I worked with an independent brokerage firm, Compass Capital Management, where I acquired my securities licenses and started as a financial planner. I worked with Compass for 5 years then moved to JP Morgan Securities, where I worked another 5 years of my career up until 2021 when I left the industry.
In 2017, I opened a water store in Slidell off Gause Blvd called The Water Maiden. The water store transitioned into a holistic health store with innovative technologies and supplements to aid the body in coming back to balance to heal itself.
As of 2021, I have been full-time with my wellness business. It was also in 2021 that I made the decision to close my storefront down and become home-based. Currently my focus is in immune education via RNA messenger molecules, supplements, water filtration & ionization.
I have lived in Slidell all my life and have seen & enjoyed the progress Olde Towne Slidell has made.
In 2010, I bought a townhouse duplex right outside of Olde Towne, near Possum Hollow Park. Being so close to downtown, my daughter and I frequently ride our bikes to Olde Towne to enjoy all it has grown to offer.
I look forward to being a part of Main Street so that I can assist in the positive growth in our community, striving to make Slidell a place we are PROUD to raise our children in!
