Alex Carollo is the Director of Cultural & Public Affairs for the City of Slidell. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Mass Communications from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Al. He is married to Melissa Carollo and together they have three children. They enjoy traveling to Disney World each year and taking spontaneous road trips throughout the Gulf Coast region.
Born and raised in Slidell, La., Alex enjoys giving back to his community. He is a board member for East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, Olde Towne Slidell Main Street, Northshore Cultural Economy Coalition, Camellia City Arts Advocates, Camellia City Kids Fun Fest and Leadership Northshore.
Alex also serves on numerous committees, such as the City of Slidell's 9/11 Patriot Day Committee, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra's Slidell Advocacy Council, Mayor's Community Breakfast Committee and the St. Tammany Parish School System Community Ambassador Program. He also serves as the city's liaison to the Commission on the Arts, Slidell Friends of the Arts, Olde Towne Slidell Main Street, Olde Towne Slidell Association, and the Slidell Historical Antique Association. He is a graduate of Leadership Northshore's Class of 2017, and served as a Project Mentor for Leadership Northshore’s Class of 2018 and 2019. He is a member of the East St. Tammany Emerging Young Professionals.
